The Simpsons
What started as a small segment on the Tracy Ullman show, became the longest running cartoon series on television in history. Created by Matt Groening The Simpsons deals with the everyday life of bald, lazy and beer drinking father Homer Simpson, big blue haired mom with the razor voice, Marge Simpson, rascal son Bart Sipmson, genius saxaphone playing daughter Lisa Simpson and baby sweatheart Maggie Simpson and the fellow citizens of Springfield.

| Region 1 The Simpsons have been released on region 1 DVD. Seasons 1 till 8 have been released thus far and undoubtly the following seasons will also be released eventually. Starting with Season 6, Fox did something differently with the packaging. Instead of digipack boxes Fox released the DVD inside a plastic Simpsons head, starting of with Homer first. Though it was an original idea, many nerds starting crying that the heads clashed with the previous boxes when put together. So Fox released two version of Seasons 6, 7 and 8. Namely the Simpsons head packaging, and a regular digipack. And all was at peace again in Nerdland. |
