Robotech

One of the first anime series to be shown on tv, and definitely one of the best. appearing before the Transformers it was the first show to feature some cool transformable robots. In anime terms mecha.

But Robotech didn`t just have cool mecha`s, compared to the somewhat simplistic plots of other toon shows (e.g. Scooby Doo) Robotech was an epic adventure in space, telling an entire story throughout the serie. It contained drama, romance music and of course action along with hostile aliens.

Robotech was actually comprised of three different series made into one. Thus we have the Macross saga (aka the original Robotech we all remember), the Masters (aka the crappy sequel), and New Generation (aka still no Macross, but better than The Masters) finalizing the serie.

DVD Information

Region 1
All three series have been fully released on dvd in three different version. And on top of that on 8 November 2005 ADV will be releasing a complete collecting called Robotech Protoculture Collection collecting the entire series (so all 3 Robotech series) along with all the extras from the Legacy Collection.
