"He-man, The Most Powerful Man in the Universe!"
He-man certainly was one of the most powerful cartoons ever to appear on the small screen. Though it seems to get some bashing nowadays, one cannot deny the fact that this cartoon has made quite an impact in animation and toy land when it first appeared.

What was He-man about?
Well to some it was a big commercial for the toy line by Mattel. But couldn`t this be said for the majority of the toons from the 80`s?
Anyway, He-man along with his friends and allies fought the evil forces of Skeletor and his goons. He-man was the secret identity of wuzzy Prince Adam. But when prince Adam held up his magic sword and said 'By the Power of Gray Skull' he transformed into the most powerful man in the universe, He-man!
Skeletor was an evil wizard who was just cool because he had a skull for his head. Along with his goonies like Evil Lyn, Beastman, Merman, Trap Jaw and more, his goals was to conquer Eternia. But sadly for him he was always stopped by He-man. Many of his plans involved conquering castle Gray Skull where the most powerful magic lay (and also the source of He-man`s power) and the necessary power source for Skeletor to conquer Eternia.

He-man has also finally been released on dvd.
Region 2 (UK) (keepcases)
Region 2 was the first lucky region to have had He-man come to dvd in 2004. Loose disc containing 6 episodes per volume. Seven volumes have been released up till now. Unfortunately it is unknown wether future volumes will be released.
Region 1
In 2005 region 1 also saw the classic hero`s debut on DVD as complete box sets.

On 12 July 2005 a compilation DVD has been released containing the 10 best episodes as voted by the He-man fans at He-man.org. |
Season One, vol. 1
In fall 2005 the first season box has been released covering the first part of Season One. The first 33 episode are collected in this box. |

On February 14 2006, vol. 2 of Season One has been released. The final 32 episodes of the first season are collected in this box. |
Christmas Special
Just in time for the holidays, this Christmas Special was released in December 2005. |

Even though The Masters of the Universe is an iconic cartoon serie, He-man`s presence on the internet isn`t that big. Nevertheless, there are He-man fans out there who devoted their time, energy and webspace to the wonderful world of Eternia.
